Double Exposures: an analysis
Testing for double exposures, using a random dot screen
An introduction to using double exposures to produce beautiful velvety intaglio prints. This process creates a more accurate plate for intaglio printing. You can get good shadow detail and information in the highlights. The photopolymer plate is exposed with the film positive and a separate exposure with a random dot screen. Testing of exposure times shows how lengthening or shortening each exposure influences the image on the plate.
Previous work using photopolymer plates would be useful.
Two-day workshop 10am-5pm. Workshop fee includes gst, vegetarian lunches and materials kit. Maximum 4 people.
