Monotype Drawing Workshop
Monotype drawing workshop by Sandra Starkey Simon
This innovative drawing monotype workshop will employ water soluble pencils and crayons giving immense variation in the exploration of drawing for monoprinting. On the first day there will be experimentation with the technique and materials and on the second day a series of three prints will be produced from an original drawing by working from a ghost image onto the printing plate. Washes of colour can also be incorporated. Serialization is a creative technique where ideas grow and a narrative can evolve. This is a unique and exciting process of working in the immediate printmaking technique of monotype.
