Botanical Decals onto Porcelain

Book a 3-hour session, 2-5pm: $90 per person inc gst, afternoon tea and materials, minimum 4 to run.

Create your own series of uniquely decorated porcelain plates
by choosing and applying vintage botanical decals. Carefully cut around the decal, dampen and smooth onto the porcelain plates. You can add some gold lustre to the edge of the plates. When the plates are fired in a kiln the decals and lustre work are melted into the glaze.

In this 3-hour workshop you will create a small group of porcelain plates which will be fired and ready for collection the next day.

Please contact Dianne to discuss details.

Concertina Photobooks

Book a 3-hour session, 2-5pm: $90 per person inc gst, afternoon tea and materials, minimum 4 to run.

Create a concertina book from your photo archive, or print some images from a recent trip or event. Consider a themed series of images, architectural details, textures and patterns, travel shots or family images. These postcard-sized books make a wonderful gift and are a terrific way to enjoy and share your photographs. You can turn the pages in your photobook, or position it on a table or shelf to enjoy the series of images.

In this 3-hour workshop you will create a postcard-sized concertina book with either horizontal or vertical images, using a sturdy black paper concertina structure.

Please contact Dianne to discuss details.

Letterpress Card Printing

Book a one-day class, 10am-5pm: $200 per person inc gst, vegetarian lunch and materials, minimum 4 to run.

Explore the world of hand-printed cards and stationary. Use vintage blocks and plates to create individual, hand-printed cards for the festive season, or unique cards for a special occasion.

Crank the handle of the Western printing press and the paper is rolled over the inked blocks. Or use the unique 1890s hand-printing press to print your cards. Then crease, fold, and trim your cards and place them in a kraft envelope and they are ready to post. We can also discuss how you can create your own designs, make plates, and print your edition of cards on beautiful paper.

In this one-day workshop you will create 10 letterpress printed cards on beautiful paper, with kraft envelopes to fit.
