iPhoneography Workshop and Encaustic Panels Mary Ann Glass (USA) & Dianne Longley
A fantastic opportunity to learn how to use some of the amazing apps available to correct, enhance and transform your photographs. Three photographs selected from your manipulated images will be printed onto archival inkjet paper, adhered to wooden panels and then coated with encaustic medium which gives your photographs greater intensity, through a translucent layer of wax.
Use an iPhone or iPad (bring both if you have them) to make your images more personal, more expressive using a range of apps that are WYSIWG and reversible, exciting to use and not difficult to learn. No previous photo manipulation experience is necessary and printmaking experience is useful but not essential. Bring your login for the App Store to the workshop as you will be purchasing apps during the workshop. The apps are inexpensive, but you should purchase the pay-to-use version as they have more features.
Bring a laptop (if you have one) to save images to a USB drive for printing to film for photopolymer printmaking. You will be sent a list of apps to purchase after you register for the workshop.
Fee for workshop includes most materials and lunches. Accommodation available.
Small workshop groups ensure you receive individual specialist attention.
