Explore the versatility of Japanese 4-hole binding technique. A simple and practical bookbinding process you can adapt to various projects; notebooks, journals and artist books. In this workshop participants will make a Japanese book using folded papers, Japanese paper for book covers, and silk thread for stitching the book. Any time left at the end of the day will be spent making folded book structures.

A workshop to create beautiful notebooks for gifts or adapt to make an artist book structure. No previous experience necessary, and a wonderful way to spend a day.

Fee includes light lunch and all materials: $280  Materials kit of Japanese cover papers, folded papers, endpapers, threads, bookbinding tools, cutting mat.
Maximum 4 participants. Covid-safe Japanese inspired lunch in outdoor area, in beautiful garden setting.
